Contact Centres – The Future Leaders training ground
12 April 2012Contact Centre Homeworking
1 May 2012Some of #TeamDJ are just returning back to the office after a fantastic and very busy few days at the Customer Contact Planning Conference. The event was bigger than ever this year with over 600 delegates in attendance with a packed out conference room at the Blackpool Hilton.
Douglas Jackson are very proud to be involved with the Professional Planning Forum and attended the annual conference for what is now, our fourth year running. We attended the event as both a delegate and exhibitor, which gave us the opportunity to meet, network and interact with a large number of contacts across the customer contact community. There were some inspiring case studies and presentations, with a thoroughly enjoyable speed networking event thrown in with 6 meetings in 6 minutes (similar to speed dating, for those of you who have experienced such events). Amusingly, there were a few of us who were ‘stood up’ on one or two sessions due to some no shows, but we all managed to find a networking partner for each segment, which led to some really interesting conversations which we look forward to continuing over the coming months and years.
We really enjoyed the opportunity to meet with so many of you and thank you to all of you who came to see us and those who entered our Champagne Prize Draw. We will be drawing that shortly and will be in touch with the winners!
In addition to the inspiring content and all the people we met, we do need to mention Cupcakes by Sophia who were a big hit during the Planning Conference, as well as with #TeamDJ, who were all seen enjoying a cupcake or two, our favourite was definitely the Vanilla Whipcake – they were delicious!
We also thoroughly enjoyed the sessions with Michael Finnigan from i2i, this is the second time we have had the chance to see Michael and he is always truly motivational and a great speaker and this year Michael shared his presentation ‘5 things that Great Achievers do’; Experiment – Discover – Decide – Fail – Believe!
The event culminated with the Innovation Awards; the standard of entries, just from the case study presentations we were able to see was extremely high – Congratulations to all the Winners and Finalists! DRL were awarded overall innovation winners of the night, with individual awards taken by BT Retail, Direct Line Group, Motability, nPower, Scottish Widows and Transform Sandwell – for a full list of all the winners and the 2012 Heroes, please go here: http://planningforum.co.uk/Default.aspx?tabid=1441
Well done everyone and looking forward to next year!
